CAMPAGNA DI SCAVO 2018

AREA 3000

Today the northern half of sector B was cleaned and photographed. The fill 3831 in front of the original facade of the church was lowered and a skeleton was partially uncovered.

AREA 5000

Team members cleaned all of Section D. We continued to excavate the hole in the South-West area (Context 5586). The hole is much deeper than previously imagined, more then an arm's-length at present and the fill continues deeper in the ground. An extremely eroded ulna, without enough distinctive, characteristics to be sided was found. There is a strange patch through the side of the wall that might be the fill of a different hole.
